Connecting

  1. Type your nick name into nick field
  2. Press Connect button for connecting
  3. Wait for connecting
Java Repository

Disconnecting

  1. Just press Disconnect button

Typing the messages
  1. Type the message into message field
  2. Press enter

Typing the private messages
  1. Click on the name of the user in "Who is on" area
  2. Type the message for him in message field
  3. Press enter

Checking the information about particular user
  1. Double-click on the name of the user in "Who is on" area

  1. Select About from Help menu

Changing nickname
  1. Type /nick NICK into message field
  2. Press enter
or
  1. Select Actions from Forum menu for invoking Forum-1 Actions window
  2. Press nick action button
  3. Change your nick within the Changing Nick dialog

Using actions

 Caffeine Connection
  1. Select Actions from Forum menu for invoking Forum-1 Actions window
  2. Press desired action button for sending action
or
  1. Type action command for sending any action

    (e.g /action drinks beer sends ** Nick drinks beer **)

Multiple Channels
  1. Press Channels button
  2. Choose the new channel for joining in by double clicking on it
or
  1. Click on the new channel in Forum-1 Channels window
  2. Or type the name into the New Channel field for creating and joining your own channel
  3. Press Join button
Caffeine Connection

Web Tour

  1. Enable Web Tour checkbox
  2. Use tour button from Actions
  3. Type URL, which you'd like to show to others

Forum-1 Painter
  1. Select Painter from Forum menu for opening the Forum Painter
  2. Choose the style and color
  3. Paint something for the chatters on the same channel

Ignoring the chatters
  1. Select Ignore from Forum menu
  2. Add the chatters, which you'd like to ignore
